FAQs
What is your background and areas of expertise?
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting teens, young adults, and young professionals. I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master’s degree in Social Work, as well as a second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership. In addition, I have a Certification in Drug and Alcohol Abuse.
Throughout my career, I have gained valuable experience across a range of settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, inpatient programs, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Often working in these environments simultaneously, I developed a well-rounded, holistic perspective understanding not only mental health, but also the educational, developmental, behavioral, and substance-related challenges that young people face today.
Do I take Insurance?
I’m not in-network with any insurance companies. Insurance often comes with restrictions, and I believe therapy should be guided by your needs, not their rules. I’ll gladly provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please check out the fees page for more details.
How is therapy proVIded?
I currently offer therapy exclusively through telehealth (online video sessions). This allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and accessibility so you can receive support from the comfort of your own space.
How long does therapy usually take?
The length of therapy varies depending on your unique needs, goals, and the challenges you're working through. Some people find clarity and relief in just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support over several months or more. We work at your pace. Whether you're looking for short-term counseling for a specific issue or ongoing therapy for deeper healing, we'll create a personalized plan that supports your mental health and emotional well-being.
How often does someone need to go to therapy?
The frequency of therapy depends on your individual needs, goals, and life circumstances. Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency, especially when addressing issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions.
As progress is made, some choose to shift to biweekly or monthly sessions for ongoing support and maintenance. We’ll collaborate to find a pace that feels supportive and sustainable for you.
